§ 21-45. Vehicles, painted to resemble law enforcement vehicles.

  • (a)

    Vehicles. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation, other than a State, County, or municipal law enforcement agency or authorized agents thereof, to color, cause to be colored or to own or operate any motor vehicle or motorcycle, with any color combination which is the same or similar to that which is prescribed and utilized by the Miami-Dade Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, or any municipal law enforcement agency within this County.

    (b)

    Penalties. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
