§ 8AA-75. Continuity of service.

  • (a)

    It is the right of all subscribers to receive all available services from the licensee as long as their obligations to the licensee are satisfied. It is a violation of this chapter for the licensee to terminate service or fail to provide service to its system for more than forty-eight (48) consecutive hours. This section does not apply to acts of God or acts of war.

    (b)

    In the event of a termination or transfer of a license for whatever reason, the licensee must do everything in its power to ensure that all County subscribers receive continuous uninterrupted service regardless of the circumstance. If necessary, to ensure continuity of service, the licensee must cooperate with the County to operate the system for a temporary period not to exceed six (6) months. Revenues accrued during that period of time shall be received by the operator.
