An individual may apply for a locksmith license if that individual has been an apprentice
locksmith for a minimum of one (1) year. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the one (1)
year apprentice locksmith requirement shall be waived if the individual submits documentary
proof, on a form provided by the Director, of being actively engaged as a locksmith
or as a locksmith supervisor for one (1) year out of the ten (10) years preceding
the application for a locksmith license.
Verification of employment or experience or both shall be completed by the individual's
supervisor or submission of at least three (3) affidavits from persons affiliated
with the locksmith industry attesting to at least one (1) year of locksmith experience
of the individual.
