§ 30-315. Windshields required to be unobstructed, fixed upright and equipped with safety glass and wipers.

  • (1)

    Front windshields in a fixed and upright position equipped with safety glass as defined in and required by Section 320.062, Florida Statutes, are required on all motor vehicles which are driven on public highways, roads or streets except motorcycles and implements of husbandry, and no person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, sidewings, side or rear windows of such vehicle, other than a certificate or other paper required to be so displayed by law.

    (2)

    The windshield on every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain, snow, or other moisture from the windshield, which device shall be so constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle.

    (3)

    Every windshield wiper upon a motor vehicle shall be maintained in good working order.
