§ 2-127. Penalties for violation.

  • (a)

    In addition to any penalties or sanctions provided elsewhere in this article, any operator who fails to obtain the required occupational license or any person, firm, partnership or corporation which violates the provisions of Section 2-119(b) shall be subject to penalties in accordance with Chapter 8CC of the Code of Miami-Dade County.

    (b)

    No operator shall be eligible to operate a branch office under this chapter if the designee required in Section 2-120(f), any qualified employee or any person otherwise involved on behalf of the operator in the operations on the branch office has been convicted of any crime involving misuse of funds or of a felony. Upon conviction, the authorization and occupational license shall be automatically cancelled or nullified.

    (c)

    Nothing herein shall prohibit the County or any affected operator from seeking injunctive relief for violations of Section 2-119(b).
