Article LXXIII. WORLD TRADE CENTER DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE |
§ 2-992. Governing body.
(a)
Membership. The governing body of the Committee shall consist of fifteen (15) members, at least one of whom shall represent the public sector, and shall be selected by the Board of County Commissioners from a slate of nominees provided by the County Manager. The nominees shall have a demonstrated interest in the development of international trade and business.
(b)
Composition. The Committee shall contain two (2) co-chairs, one of whom shall represent the public sector. The co-chairs shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners upon a recommendation from the County Manager. The Committee is authorized to create and appoint subcommittees and to schedule meetings as it deems necessary. All meetings shall be held in accordance with Florida's "Government in the Sunshine Law," Section 286.011, Florida Statutes.
(c)
Terms. Members of the Committee shall serve until a recommendation of the Final Development Agreement is submitted to the Board of County Commissioners.
