§ 21-17. Possession of weapons by felons, intoxicated persons, etc.
Latest version.
It shall be unlawful for any person who has been convicted of a felony, or who is
under the influence of alcohol or a narcotic or drug to wear or have about his person
or in any vehicle in which he is an occupant any firearm or other dangerous or deadly
weapon.

Florida Statutes § 790.33, as amended, preempts and declares null and void all local
ordinances, administrative regulations and rules in the field of firearms and ammunition,
with limited exceptions set forth in § 790.33, as amended.
