§ 14-33. Intent; construction.

  • (A)

    The intent of this article is to protect the public health, safety and welfare by prescribing minimum standards for fire prevention and safety.

    (B)

    This article is hereby determined to be remedial and essential to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.

    (C)

    This article shall be liberally construed to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.

    (D)

    This article shall not be construed to provide any independent cause of action or claim for relief of any kind whatsoever except as expressly provided in this article.
